Today's blog post is all about the awesome upcoming events (gigs/concerts/shows/happenings) this summer in an attempt to lift the gloomy mood of the current weather. I for one am thoroughly looking forward to participating in a large array of events that our beautiful city/country has to offer. These are just my own list of events, there are plenty more things going on this summer to get amongst if these aren't your cup of tea. But I say get out, get amongst and enjoy summer!

MUCH EXCITE! :)

Finally finished announcing my 30th celebrations! 3 events to celebrate 30 years on the 3rd day of the 3rd month... spot the theme? (it's lots of 3s): Party, LAN Party, Bach Party.

Had a good year with LANs this year. We ran our full-scale AuckLAN 7 event at North Harbour Stadium back in May and our smaller scale Free-for-All event in November at Techvana Computer Museum. We also helped at the LAN at Digital Nationz at Vector Arena in September. I made it to my first LANFlat event (LF12) in October and had an awesome time and won a headset in the Blur competition. And of course I've been to all 4 Ping Zero LANs this year bringing my LAN tally to 8 LANs which is pretty good for one year if you ask me! Looks like I'm going to win the Ping Zero Facebook competition too for a $600 prize package.

Looking forward to next year, we are helping Hunger Drive with their LAN in Albany Jan 16-18. Tickets are on-sale now here In March (6-8) I'm going to have an invite-only LAN party for about 20 people at my flat to celebrate my turning 30 which should be pretty epic! And we'll be up to our usual full-scale AuckLAN antics with AuckLAN 7 and 8 in 2015. We hope to do more event(s) with Techvana too once their future resting place is settled. And I see more LANFlat events and more Ping Zeros for me to go to and I'm crossing my fingers that we will hear from Smeg from SMG LAN with regards to his new LAN venue (much excite!). As always, I encourage you to keep an eye on www.aucklan.com and our Facebook page to keep up with our news and upcoming events and on a personal note, any of you who want to try a LAN but don't know how? let me know and I'll help you out!
